It’s prized for its light weight, heat resistance, and porous nature, which absorbs tar and moisture for a cooler, drier smoke. Hand‑carved meerschaum pipes develop a beautiful, honey‑colored patina over time, making each pipe uniquely yours.

2. How are Yanik Meerschaum pipes made?

Each Yanik Meerschaum pipe is carved by hand from a solid block of premium Turkish meerschaum. The process—from initial roughing to fine detail work—can take anywhere from 5 to 20 hours, depending on the complexity of the design. Every piece is sanded, polished, and fitted with a comfortable acrylic stem before final inspection.

3. How do I care for my meerschaum pipe?

• After smoking, tap out the ash gently—do not knock the bowl against a hard surface.
 • Wipe the bowl inside with a soft pipe cleaner or cloth.
 • Avoid immersing your pipe in water or using harsh chemicals.
 • Store it in a cool, dry place; a felt‑lined case is ideal to protect the carving.

4. Why is my pipe changing color? Is that okay?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Over time, meerschaum absorbs tobacco oils and develops a rich, amber patina. This natural “coloring” is a hallmark of authenticity and adds character—no two Yanik pipes will patina in exactly the same way.

5. Can I use filters with Yanik Meerschaum pipes?

Most of our models don’t support filters out of the box, but for special orders we can  make pipes to accept standart 9 mm filters upon request. If you’d like filter compatibility, please mention it when ordering or contact us for a custom modification.

• Processing & Carving: 1–3 business days (depending on season and order volume).
 • Domestic (Turkey): 2–5 business days via insured courier.
 • International: 7–21 business days via registered airmail or express courier.
             Tracking information is provided once your order ships.

• Returns & Exchanges: Unused pipes may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Buyer pays return shipping; original shipping fees are non‑refundable.
 • Warranty: Each Yanik pipe is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 1 year. Cracks from heat abuse or drops are not covered.
